Hurray!Today our school went to Pt England beach to meet people from Hawaii.

Firstly we take the bus and we had to have a partner, I was with Xyril. We had to walk in a straight line. I saw many students. When we were on the beach we all had to sit down on the grass next to Pt England school.

Next I saw students doing the haka when the people were coming on a inflatable boat and there were horns they were making loud noises like an elephant and I saw my brother. When the people where on the beach every school sang He Honore.

Then more people came from the waka and we sang another Maori song. We all sat back down and more people from the waka came. After they came a old man welcome them in Maori I couldn't understand it.

Lastly we shook there hands and high-five and walk in a straight line to the bus again.

Have you played Tee golf ? It's awesome!

Three weeks ago, I learned how to hold the golf club. We had to hold it on the grip, I had a try. Coach Kannel told us left hand, right hand, feet together, left foot, right foot and piggy pop

Next coach Kannel told us the two golden rules '' be safe and have fun''.I was excited to do the warm up it was '' rob the nest''. I was number 3. When it was my turn  I went to the other team and I had to grab one ball.

Afterwards we played another game. I was in Vaughan's team. It was my turn, and I tried to hit the ball on the middle, but it didn't hit the red line.

Coach Kennel asked what respect means and Soane said'' respect means listening''and coach Kennel said yes.

Finally we went back in the classroom and our teacher said we had to write a story about the golf.

Popular Pets in Room 5L

The Turtles are the most popular pet in Room 5L. They were popular because they have a hard shell and they patterns.Seventeen students chose turtles as their favourite pet. The Least popular pet were Birds because they can fly away, they create mess through bird seed going on the floor and you cannot cuddle a bird. Only nine students chose their favourite pet

forces In Motion

 This term I have been learning about forces. We did this experiment on how far a car travels when it is on a slope. I learnt that if we used two books the car will travel a short distance and if we used a thick pile of books the car will travel the furthest.
