Yesterday we went to Room 4 to have Duffy assembly. First we welcomed a lady,name Tasha. She is a singer and a lawyer. She sang to us"Mama knows the best".

We asked who is her favourite singer, she said " Jessie J".

 Lastly our school took a selfie with Tasha. At the end she sang "Price Tag" and we sang with her. People in my class asked if they can have her autograph.

We need medic! My team landed in the wrong planet were captured by weird looking aliens!!

We landed in Venus we're all prisoners. They want us to tell them everything about Earth. I told them they will die because the oxygen is toxic gas for aliens, and humans will hunt them down. The food is poisonous for aliens and they make traps.

I told them to go to Venus because Earth is terrible.

Most badly they hate each other and steal everything you have and don't celebrate birthday parties. Lastly, I said I came to Venus because Earth is terrible. 

Today I made my own burger for the astronauts to take to the Moon . I used Google drawing to make this. Would you like to have a try. 

Sharing my Maths thinking

Today I was given a maths problem of 3 rows of 5 pumpkins. My answer is 15

I know its 15 because 5 + 5 = 10 plus another 5 = 15 or 5 x 3 = 15.

I think people should live in the Moon because they can have a good view of other planets.
People should live in the Moon because they can find new minerals we don't know about.

I think people should live in the Moon because they can study special features of the Moon.
People should live in the Moon because it will be fun if we can jump high.

Most important is that people should live in the Moon to can learn new things about the Moon.

St Patrick's day

St Patrick's Day

Yey! We celebrated Saint Patrick's day.

Firstly we went to church to praise God and pray. We sang songs first, after we sang some of the children in each class room said a prayer. When church was finish we went back to class.

Next we put sunscreen on our face and arm. The bell rang, it was morning tea. After morning tea we sat next to the classes, Mrs Bullot told what team we were in, I was in Blares the in our team was Milayka and Ceaser. The first teacher we went to is Mrs Choe. The game was called" rob the nest" and when it was my turn I ran to the closest team as fast as could and I saw Mrs Richardson and her baby.

Then we went to the next game. It was my turn, I ran to the third cone and I had to throw a small hoop on a cone.

Lastly we had popcicle.

Today I have been using Google draw to create a upside down triangle. I repeated my triangle shapes by making sure they were same size. I used two colours cyan and green. For my background I used dark cornflower blue.

Homework! Yes or No?

Homework should be given to children because it can help them to be smart at reading to their parents. Children should be given homework because it can help them in their education by answering the work.

Children should not be given homework because it will be boring if, it has no crossword puzzles to solve. Home work should not be given to children because they will not do it, instead they like to play on the Play station 4.

Most importantly, children should be given homework because it helps them learn about maths, reading, and R.E.

Woo ho! Today I have been learning how to save money

Today Room 5/L had someone from ASB, her name was Tessa, you could tell she worked at ASB cause it said the sign on her t - shirt. She brought a friend, Tessa told us her friend rules, it was don't talk when she's talking and don't let them talk when your talking don't bust in put your hands up if you want to talk.

Then Tessa told as to tap on the floor and close our eyes. After she told us to stop and open our eyes her friend was called P.T which stands for Personal trainer. She told us some quiz's at the past 

Later on she told us that if we have money and you don't were to put it she said put it in the band and if you want to use you money you have to go back to the bank and they will give you a eftpous card and you can use it, also she told us what age you have to be to get a credit card.

Lastly we thanked her for teaching us how to use money wisely.

Ice cream

Children should be allowed to eat Ice cream whenever they want to.

Children should be allowed to eat ice cream whenever they want to because it has milk, and milk can make your bones grow strong and can make you grow taller. It also has vitamins that can make you healthy.

I think ice cream should not be given to children because it has sugar and sugar can give you a rotten teeth.

Children should not be allowed to eat ice cream whenever they want to because it has lollies and lollies aren't healthy.

The most important is that children should not be allowed to eat ice cream whenever they want to because it has lots of fat, and it is not healthy, but they should be allowed during special celebrations of have it as a treat when your doing well.

How a friend could be better?

A friend should be better by loving each other.

I like a friend who doesn't argue because it can start a fight. I like a friend that doesn't swear because they might say to people I know.

A friend could be better if they stop telling lies because it can get me in trouble. I like a friend who doesn't steal because it doesn't belong to them.

A friend could be better if they stop fighting because it will hurt the other person.

The most important way friends can be better if they stop complaining but make new friends.

I believe adults could be better if they listen to their children because they might say something important.

Adults can be better if they stop arguing with others because it can cause a big fight. Adults should stop fighting with each other because it will hurt the other person.

Adults can be better if they stop smoking because their children might see them and they will get sick. Adults can be better if they stop hitting kids because it will hurt them.

Most important way adults can be better if they can look after their kids instead of hitting them.

My trip to Auckland live

Awesome! We went to Auckland live

Two weeks ago our school went to do a lot of activities. When we arrived there it looked very big, when I got in the building I left my bag in a big room.Then we went in the hall. I saw other children. Then the dancer started dancing and making shapes spirals.They showed us some actions of the there haka.

Next we went to digital art. I tried to look for birdhouses using the I-pad and I saw colourful birds flying. 

Then we went downstairs and I saw a very big screen I sat down and a lady said I had to dial a number and it will connect to telecom.When it was my turn, I blew my hardest and the face of the person on the screen was blown, there hair was flying in the air.

After a minute we walked

to the theatre for a story

it was about saving
