Sharing my Maths thinking

Today I was given a maths problem of 3 rows of 5 pumpkins. My answer is 15

I know its 15 because 5 + 5 = 10 plus another 5 = 15 or 5 x 3 = 15.

I think people should live in the Moon because they can have a good view of other planets.
People should live in the Moon because they can find new minerals we don't know about.

I think people should live in the Moon because they can study special features of the Moon.
People should live in the Moon because it will be fun if we can jump high.

Most important is that people should live in the Moon to can learn new things about the Moon.

St Patrick's day

St Patrick's Day

Yey! We celebrated Saint Patrick's day.

Firstly we went to church to praise God and pray. We sang songs first, after we sang some of the children in each class room said a prayer. When church was finish we went back to class.

Next we put sunscreen on our face and arm. The bell rang, it was morning tea. After morning tea we sat next to the classes, Mrs Bullot told what team we were in, I was in Blares the in our team was Milayka and Ceaser. The first teacher we went to is Mrs Choe. The game was called" rob the nest" and when it was my turn I ran to the closest team as fast as could and I saw Mrs Richardson and her baby.

Then we went to the next game. It was my turn, I ran to the third cone and I had to throw a small hoop on a cone.

Lastly we had popcicle.

Today I have been using Google draw to create a upside down triangle. I repeated my triangle shapes by making sure they were same size. I used two colours cyan and green. For my background I used dark cornflower blue.

Homework! Yes or No?

Homework should be given to children because it can help them to be smart at reading to their parents. Children should be given homework because it can help them in their education by answering the work.

Children should not be given homework because it will be boring if, it has no crossword puzzles to solve. Home work should not be given to children because they will not do it, instead they like to play on the Play station 4.

Most importantly, children should be given homework because it helps them learn about maths, reading, and R.E.

Woo ho! Today I have been learning how to save money

Today Room 5/L had someone from ASB, her name was Tessa, you could tell she worked at ASB cause it said the sign on her t - shirt. She brought a friend, Tessa told us her friend rules, it was don't talk when she's talking and don't let them talk when your talking don't bust in put your hands up if you want to talk.

Then Tessa told as to tap on the floor and close our eyes. After she told us to stop and open our eyes her friend was called P.T which stands for Personal trainer. She told us some quiz's at the past 

Later on she told us that if we have money and you don't were to put it she said put it in the band and if you want to use you money you have to go back to the bank and they will give you a eftpous card and you can use it, also she told us what age you have to be to get a credit card.

Lastly we thanked her for teaching us how to use money wisely.
