Sharing my thinking by using movenote

I was given an array of snails. I use Move note to video myself to explain my strategy by counting the snails. I counted by using doubles by 5 + 5 = 10 and 5 + 5 = 10, so 10 + 10 = 20.

Subtraction from ten

This morning I have been learning to subtract from ten. My equation was 10 - 4 = 6. I used the line tool to take away four from ten

Grouping within ten

This is my working within ten. Today I have been learning how to use the shape tool and paint bucket to show my grouping within ten. My grouping within ten was 4 + 6. I used the sun shape tool  to do this.

My Last day Playing badminton!

My Last day playing Badminton

Last Friday was Room 5/L's last day playing badminton. First we had warm ups, the game was called Stuck in the mud. Whenever we get tagged we had to stay still and someone has to clap their hands under our legs. I pretend to be tagged when my friend Vaughan pass me.

Then we took a racket and practice. Later on our coach told us to go in groups of six when we were in our groups coach Ben grabbed a net and split us in three groups, my group played against Vaughan, Kyle and Xyril.

While I was playing with Kyle, I tried to make him muck up. I won against Kyle. I tricked him by pretending to hit the shuttle, it was a tie. Then coach Ben told us to freeze. I helped B to put the net back with Soane and Heneliena.

Lastly we thanked him this was my fourth time playing badminton. I enjoy playing badminton.

This is my second grouping within ten poster. I used 4 orange blocks and 6 yellow blocks. I have also used combination of words to create sentences.

This my grouping within ten. Today I used blocks to make grouping within ten. I used 3 orange blocks and 7 yellow blocks. I have also used combination of words and numbers to make my grouping within ten.

Animals In Trouble

Animals In Trouble

        My silly cat is in big trouble.

Ooh, Oohh! Last Saturday my cat climbed up a tall tree. My mum saw him up the tree and she was scared because he might fall into the river. She immediately called for help. 

Some of our next door neighbours came to help but they couldn't get my cat down so they told us to call the fire fighters. My mum ran inside the house and quickly phoned the fire station.

Then the fire fighters came and pulled the ladder out so they can climb up into the tree and grab our cat. My cat was too far up that it was so hard for the fire fighters to grab him. We tried to put his favourite food on the ground in the hope that he will come down on his own. Yes! It worked and my cat is safe!

Finally, after eating his favourite food, my cat fell asleep in my mums arms.
